Using Gemini CLI with Hologrow

Use Gemini CLI when you want a terminal-first Google Gemini agent that can read your synced Hologrow data through MCP.

Prerequisites

At least one data source connected in Integrations and syncing in Data Explorer
Gemini CLI installed and signed in
An MCP key from AI Platforms

Step 1: Copy the installation prompt

Create an MCP key in AI Platforms, replace <api-key> below with that key, then copy the complete prompt.

Install the Hologrow MCP server in Gemini CLI and test the connection.

Connection details:
- Name: Hologrow
- URL: https://mcp.hologrow.ai/mcp
- Transport: Streamable HTTP
- Authentication: API Key
- Header: Authorization: Bearer <api-key> (Copy from https://connector.hologrow.ai/ai-platforms)

Requirements:
1. Add Hologrow using Gemini CLI's native MCP configuration. Use API Key authentication only; do not use OAuth.
2. Make only the changes required for installation. Keep the API key secret and do not repeat, log, or include it in your response.
3. After installation, call Hologrow's list_platforms tool once. Do not call any other tools.
4. If successful, list the connected data platforms exactly as returned. If installation, authentication, connection, or the tool call fails, stop and explain the error.

Step 2: Paste it into Gemini CLI

Start Gemini CLI, paste the copied prompt, and send it. Gemini CLI will install Hologrow, test the connection, and return your connected data platforms.

Hologrow is read-only and never posts or changes store or ad settings.
Treat MCP keys like passwords; revoke or rotate them from AI Platforms anytime.
